I truly expect to dedicate more shows to the flute. I have developed an irrational affinity for this instrument, like I have an irrational distaste for the saxophone. For me, the flute lends an unfair advantage to any recording. By contrast, while I love lots of sax music, songs featuring this woodwind must win me over. Anyway, this theme led me to more funk and jazz than I expect will be usual. It also allowed that nexus of children's and symphonic music, Peter and the Wolf, to bubble up from its preserving bog.
