Don't miss tonight's show: "Winter Solstice Lunar Eclipse Freak-Out" featuring music to celebrate the moon, the night and the return of the Sun.
A Pink Moon? |
Artists will include: Fursaxa, His Name is Alive, Nick Drake, Genesis, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Moon Duo, The Sword, Tom Waits and much, much more. We will probably hear some comedy bits in addition to our regular weekly features: Robot News and a Song for New Moms.
Why do we do this? Because tonight is the year's longest night. Not only is it the Winter Solstice , but there will be a total eclipse of the Moon tonight, which, did I mention, will be full. This is rare and accordingly more valuable - so we celebrate.
This single Terran moon is probably my favorite celestial object so I will be very exited for its busy night. Please stay up and join me between howling sessions.
